Data Breach Response
In the case of a data breach, CCMR Insights promptly notifies all affected parties and takes immediate steps to mitigate any damage. The response plan includes investigation, containment, and recovery processes to maintain data integrity.
- The agency must disclose any breach of system security to affected individuals "without unreasonable delay" and no later than 60 days after determining a breach occurred.
- The agency must notify the Texas Attorney General as soon as practicable and no later than 30 days after determining a breach occurred, via an electronic form on the Attorney General's website. This is required if the breach affected at least 250 Texas residents.
