The Texas Computer Cooperative and The Texas Education Exchange have forged Texas' largest educational data partnership to empower educators with the necessary resources to succeed. A groundbreaking collaboration between the Texas Computer Cooperative (TCC) and The Texas Education Exchange (The Exchange) delivers advanced tools and services to enhance data management and utilization across K-12 education. More than 800 ASCENDER districts and charter schools gain access to local data visualizations to drive data-based decision-making at the classroom, campus, and district levels. This powerful collaboration gives educators access to education information in one centralized location, reducing time spent analyzing data.
“The partnership with The Exchange is designed to elevate the ASCENDER modernization project that started with our comprehensive TEA grant program. This collaboration represents a significant step forward in our mission to provide ASCENDER districts and charters with the most advanced data tools available. By combining The Exchange's capabilities with the strengths of ASCENDER, educators and administrators will be equipped to make informed, data-driven decisions that drive student success," says Bob Raymond, CEO of the Texas Computer Cooperative.
Partnership Key Benefits:
Streamline Data Management: The Exchange facilitates the integration of Ed-Fi data standard-compliant sources, including assessments and Learning Management Systems (LMS), into The Exchange Operational Data Storage (ODS).
Enhance Data Security: Collected data is stored in secure systems owned and managed independently by districts and charter schools. It is moved through secure connections via API.
Make Informed Decisions Based on Data Trends: ASCENDER users gain access to comprehensive longitudinal data to track student progress and behavior over time.
Promote Collaboration: The partnership establishes a hub for educators to share insights and access tools designed to support student success--and give them time back in their day. This environment fosters innovation and aligns with best data practices.
"By leveraging Ed-Fi data standards, we are creating a unified data ecosystem that breaks down data barriers in education and creates connected ecosystems. Educators can access the data they need in one place, save time, and unlock powerful insights while improving the pipeline for data submissions. We are empowering educators to make data-informed decisions that drive student achievement," says Jerry Lashley, Director of The Texas Education Exchange. “The Exchange is honored to partner with the TCC in this endeavor.”
This collaboration offers unparalleled value to ASCENDER districts and charters by providing innovative tools designed to enhance overall effectiveness. Together, we are committed to advancing the quality of education across the Lone Star State.
