The first step to engaging with or using The Texas Education Exchange is to complete onboarding. For The Exchange, this means connecting a district's data sources, such as Student Information Systems (SIS), Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS), and assessments.

The Exchange has onboarded 95 districts from various SIS providers, with 84 connecting to at least one application. With the addition of the ASCENDER Partnership, we look forward to onboarding hundreds more, starting with 179 new districts and charter schools this month.

Our Onboarding Process

Our onboarding process is designed to be seamless and efficient. It involves three key steps:

  1. Connecting Your Data Sources: We'll work with you to connect your SIS, HRIS, and assessment data to The Exchange.

  2. Navigating the Onboarding Wizard: Our user-friendly Onboarding Wizard will guide you through the step-by-step process.

  3. Leveraging the Tech Console: Our powerful Tech Console allows you to manage your data connections and monitor the health of your data.

The ASCENDER Partnership

We're excited to partner with ASCENDER to bring The Exchange to even more districts and charter schools. We're currently gearing up for our first wave of onboarding, which began in early November 2024.

Here's a breakdown of the onboarding windows:

  • Onboarding Window #1: November 2024

  • Onboarding Window #2: December 2024 / January 2025

  • Onboarding Window #3: March 2025

  • Onboarding Window #4: April 2025

ASCENDER districts and charter schools will receive additional support through onboarding and implementation webinars. Every district or charter school will participate in an Exchange Implementation kickoff meeting to create an implementation action plan to maximize the Exchange applications and benefits of data-based decision-making.

The Future of Data-Driven Education

By leveraging The Exchange, districts and charter schools can:

  • Make informed decisions based on real-time data.

  • Improve student outcomes by identifying areas for improvement.

  • Streamline workflows and increase efficiency.

We're committed to providing all customers with the support and resources they need to successfully onboard and utilize The Exchange. This includes hands-on implementation and training as well as support.

Making the Most of Connections

While we work to onboard districts across the state, we are also working to create valuable connections to third-party applications and software providers our customers use most. If you want to connect your system to The Exchange, please complete this form, and we will start the application process.

Let's work together to shape the future of education!
