In an ever-changing world of technology that leaves many of us wondering if our security is being considered, The Exchange is committed to providing our users with the most secure, transparent, and collaborative platform possible. Because of this, The Exchange is introducing: Data Consent Approvals for district administrators, new licensing agreements for new users, and private forums for all users.

Taking Control of Your Data: Consent Flow in the Tech Console

No more guessing who has access to your valuable data! With Consent Flow, district system administrators can manually approve each data sharing request for third-party applications from the Tech Console. This ensures:

  • Full Awareness: You'll always know exactly which third-party apps integrated with The Exchange are accessing your district's data.

  • Explicit & Timely Approval: Grant or deny access with a clear understanding, and at the moment it's needed.

  • Annual Data Sharing Review: To maintain optimal security and compliance, data sharing approvals will be reset annually. This crucial step ensures only current and necessary data sharing arrangements remain active, helping prevent "access creep" and promoting data protection.

  • Increased Transparency & Accountability: By requiring annual reaffirmation of data sharing purposes, districts are prompted to review access, enhancing transparency and accountability.

  • Stronger Trust: Knowing that The Exchange prioritizes responsible data handling and gives you direct control over access gives you peace of mind..

Building a Foundation of Trust: End-User License Agreement in the Exchange Community

To foster a more transparent and trustworthy environment within The Exchange community, we're introducing a straightforward End-User License Agreement (EULA).

This EULA ensures everyone is on the same page regarding usage, privacy, and expectations, creating a more transparent and secure experience for all community members.

Fostering Localized Connections: Private Forums in the Exchange Community

Imagine a dedicated forum where your district's teachers can share best practices, troubleshoot issues, and discuss data-related strategies in a secure and familiar environment.

We know collaboration is key to unlocking the full potential of data-driven education. Now, district educators at all levels can collaborate in a private space within our forums to discuss intricate details for their district. These more focused, localized discussions are part of the new Private Forums addition to the community.

These enhancements to the Tech Console and Exchange community reflect our ongoing commitment to providing a secure, transparent, and collaborative platform that empowers educators and administrators across Texas. We believe these updates will further enhance your experience and strengthen your ability to leverage data for improved student outcomes.
